The notoriously congested, and confusing, intersection at the meeting of Three Mile Harbor Road, Springs-Fireplace Road and North Main Street is going to get a makeover. East Hampton Town has asked New York State Legislature to allow it to bring a referendum to residents asking to "alienate" a small triangle of land that is legally a nature preserve, so that engineers could use part of the land for the construction of a roundabout.
