East Hampton Village Mayor Alleges Town Tax Hikes Disproportionately Affect Village Residents

East Hampton Village leadership has alleged that increased East Hampton Town tax rates for village residents have outpaced those for town taxpayers. This graph shows the total tax increase since 2018. Over the past four years, Mayor Jerry Larsen said, the town tax rate for village residents has increased  by a total of 27.66 percent. For strictly town residents in that time, the tax rate has increased by 12.26 percent.
