The East Hampton School District announced it will close all its schools on Monday and Tuesday for a deep cleaning, school board president J.P. Foster said Thursday, March 12, shortly after the board voted on the measure at a special meeting. To help protect the community from the spread of COVID-19, both the Ross School in East Hampton and the Amagansett School announced on Thursday that they plan closings beginning next week. One Family Self-Quarantined In Montauk After Trip To High-Risk Country In February

Montauk School Superintendent Jack Perna confirmed on Wednesday morning that one family with a child or children in the school was in self-quarantine following a trip abroad over the school break to one of the five countries for which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have issued travel warnings.
