Firefighters from multiple local fire departments extinguished a fire at an oceanfront mansion on Lily Pond Lane in East Hampton Village on Tuesday evening.

The fire was seen bursting through the roof and windows of the mansion, just to the east of Georgica Beach.

East Hampton Fire Department fire fighters responded to the scene just after 8 p.m.

The Southampton, Sag Harbor and Amagansett fire departments dispatched ladder trucks and rapid intervention teams to assist with the fire.

An aircraft piloted by Curtis Doupe was forced to land at East Hampton Airport without its landing gear at around 8 p.m. on Sunday. There were no passengers aboard, and the pilot was not injured.
