Narcan Training To Be Offered in Southampton

A Narcan training session will be offered on Wednesday, November 30, at 11 a.m. at the Southampton Firehouse, 470 Hampton Road, in Southampton. Narcan saves lives by reversing a drug overdose. Participants will learn to recognize the signs of opiate overdose, how to reverse an overdose, and hear about the new ways overdoses are being treated. Veterans Day Services Set in the Area

MONTAUK The Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation will hold its annual flag ceremony in honor of veterans on Friday, November 11, at the Montauk Playhouse Community Center, 240 Edgemere Street. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the Suzanne Koch Gosman Flagpole Garden at the center and will feature the raising of the flag and a wreath-laying ceremony by local Scouts and Brownie troops, and music by Nancy Atlas. Light refreshments will be served outdoors following the ceremony. Veterans, as well as the entire community, are invited to attend the ceremony, which will go on rain or shine.
