Hoops 4 Hope will host its fourth annual H4H East End 3’s 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, August 9, at the Sportime Arena in Amagansett.
The tournament begins at 1:30 p.m. and will feature competitive men’s and women’s divisions for players ages 16 and up. Teams must consist of three to five players and champions in each division will receive a grand prize. Additional competitions include a free throw contest, three-point shootout and half-court challenge.
Team registration is $225, which includes food and drinks for all players. Spectator admission is free and donations are welcomed.
All proceeds support Hoops 4 Hope’s youth programs in underserved communities in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Founded in 1995, Hoops 4 Hope is a nonprofit organization empowering youth in Cape Town, South Africa, Harare, Zimbabwe, and Long Island’s East End. Inspired by the African philosophy of Ubuntu (“I am because we are”), H4H combines basketball, life skills and leadership training to help young people grow up healthy, safe and resilient.
In communities where children face poverty, violence and limited access to education or safe spaces, H4H provides inclusive environments that build confidence and teach critical life skills — fostering the next generation of strong, compassionate leaders.
