Guided Seal Hikes Offered at Montauk State Park

The first in a new annual series of guided seal observation hikes at Montauk State Park kicks off this weekend, with programs running through April 2026. Led by a State Park naturalist, the two-hour educational hikes give visitors the chance to explore Montauk’s scenic shoreline while observing as many as five species of wintering seals off Long Island’s easternmost point. Participants may also spot winter birds and learn about the area’s distinctive marine geology.
