This letter is in response to the blurb about LongHouse Illuminated that appeared in the December 22 issue. LongHouse Illuminated was made possible thanks to the hard work of the entire LongHouse staff, not simply one or two individuals. The entire staff deserves to be acknowledged for their Herculean effort in making LongHouse Illuminated a reality.
On another note, kudos to Tom House for being chosen Person of the Year. Please note, however, the first-ever Hamptons Pride parade was held on June 4, not in September.
Additionally, LongHouse Reserve hosted a Pride celebration in our beautiful gardens on June 26; this event was a fundraiser for Hamptons Pride. Credit must be given where it’s due; many individuals and organizations are working diligently to promote inclusivity and equity; Tom is by no means a one-man band.

Once again, we find ourselves in a battle against overdevelopment [“Three Mile Harbor Road Employer-Owned Workforce Housing Proposal Falters,” 27east.com, December 5]. It boggles my mind that anyone can conceive of approving this proposal. The very reason we live out...
This unfortunate Afghani accused in the attack on National Guard members in Washington, D.C.: Did they check him for PTSD and brain damage from being near explosions? These are proving to be real issues that lead to impulsive and destructive...
It’s a good thing that Congressman Nick LaLota wasn’t conducting a town hall when he penned “Position Unchanged” [Letters, December 4] claiming that he was always all for releasing the Epstein files. Otherwise, it might have been hard to keep...
