Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will attend at least three fundraisers in the Hamptons next month, sources say, though it’s not clear whether her family will be renting a house in the area as they have done in recent summers.

For the third year in a row, Ms. Clinton will turn to well-heeled friends to host fundraising gatherings, typically for five-figures per person, for her presidential campaign at their Hamptons homes. One source who has been privy to discussions about Ms. Clinton’s visit to the East End, but asked not to be named because he is not authorized to disclose the information, said the anticipated itinerary will be at least two weekend dinner and cocktail parties and a luncheon.

Last summer Ms. Clinton attended four events in Water Mill and East Hampton, over two weekends, at the homes of longtime friends Susan and Alan Patricoff, garment industry magnate Arthur Rabin, and designer Tory Burch. The summer before that, with her presidential aspirations not yet declared, she attended a single event in Wainscott that seeded her run with reported $25,000 per-plate contributions.

Ms. Clinton’s trip to the East End will again come in the later half of August, when the Clintons have taken a two-week vacation for the past few years. The family stayed at homes of friends in 2012, rented an oceanfront house in Sagaponack in 2013 and for the last two summers have stayed in a rented bayfront home near Barnes Landing in Amagansett. It’s not known whether they will be renting a house again or whether her husband or their daughter and her family will be in tow.

Her opponent, Donald Trump, was hosted for a fundraiser at the home of Wilbur Ross in Southampton Village earlier this month, but has not been rumored to be returning for additional fundraising.

Both candidates will be on Long Island in September for their first head-to-head debate, which will be held at Hofstra University.
