This weekend, the 11-and-under HUB 44 Riptides, which include many players from East Hampton Little League, won the Brookhaven Town Elite Invitational Tournament. It’s the second straight tournament championship for this team and has qualified for the Tournament of Champions. The 11U Riptides dominated competition by defeating the Eastern A’s, 12-2, in their first game, defeated Three Village, 13-0, in their second game, defeated East End, 9-1, in the third game, and then, in their fourth and final game, defeated Middle Country, 14-1.
