East Hampton Town Police charged three people with selling alcoholic beverages to minors, a misdemeanor, during a compliance investigation on June 19. The investigations saw an underage agent attempt to purchase alcoholic drinks from various establishments without providing age verification. Police charged three, while deeming other businesses that were investigated to be in compliance with local laws. Sagaponack Village Trustees Carrie Thayer Crowley and William Barbour were reelected to their positions on June 20, in an uncontested election. Barbour earned a total of 19 votes (18 in person, 1 absentee), while Crowley garnered 16 votes (15 in person, 1 absentee). Barbour was first elected to the Sagaponack Village Board in 2011, as a write-in candidate and will be starting his eighth two-year term. Crowley was first elected in 2021, making this the start of her third two-year term.

LTV Studios World Voices Series will present the third annual Celebrating Black Culture on the East End event with guest Ambassador Suzan Johnson Cook, who goes by “Dr. Sujay,” on Thursday, July 3, at 7 p.m. The event will be hosted by Dr. Sujay with co-hosts Crystal Brown and Dr. Maria DeLongoria, and will feature conversations, dancing, refreshments and more.
