Bridgehampton School Creates Greeting Crew In an effort to provide specialized support and create a warm welcome to new students at the Bridgehampton Union Free School District, Principal Michael Cox has worked with students and staff to create a welcoming committee to greet new students with a friendly face. Hamra Ozsu, literacy and ELL specialist and the school’s elementary assembly PBIS coordinator, trained the student government on how to shadow students and become a resource to newcomers. ReWild Long Island is offering internships and community service opportunities in East Hampton for its second summer. The 2024 Summer Program To Fight Hunger and Climate Change includes volunteer work in organic vegetable harvesting, regenerative food production, sustainable landscaping, pollinator garden design and composting. Locations and partner organizations include Share the Harvest Farm, LongHouse Reserve, Surfrider Village Green and Methodist Lane Bioswale, East Hampton Compost and East Hampton High School Pollinator Garden.
