Memorial Day

A rock is engraved near one of the trees at Calverton National Cemetery that has the most fitting words for Memorial Day:

“This tree will stand tall for the men and woman that are laid to rest here together. The leaves are crimson in color for the blood that they shed. It stands not as an individual but in solidarity for all that stood up for the freedoms we believe in. Duty. Honor. Country.”

Still here.
