MONTAUK — Richard Alexander Cianci, 23, of Boston was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a felony, by East Hampton Town Police early morning on Memorial Day. Police said an officer saw Cianci walking near Main Street in downtown Montauk while openly snorting cocaine. When an officer approached Cianci, he said he saw him throw a glass vile to the ground. The white powdery contents of that vile later tested positive for cocaine, police said, and the weight of the powder, at almost 5 grams, was enough to raise the charge to the felony level. ... by Staff Writer

A Springs man is facing up to 15 years in prison after being arrested early Friday morning on Main Street in East Hampton Village by Town Police on multiple charges, including criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
