Norman Dello Joio of East Hampton died of cardiac arrest on July 24 at his home in East Hampton. He was 95.
Born on January 24, 1913, in New York City to Antoinette (née Garramone) and Casmiro Dello Joio. Mr. Dello Joio was a composer and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (née Bolton) Dello Joio of East Hampton; two sons, Justin Dello Joio of New York City and Norman Dello Joio of Florida; a daughter, Victoria Dello Joio of California; two stepchildren, Katie Bar-Tur of New York City and Ned Costello of Connecticut; and three grandchildren, Daniella Dello Joio, Norman Nicholas Dello Joio, and Chiara Dello Joio.
A graveside service was held on July 27 at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in East Hampton. The family plans a memorial service that will be announced in a future edition of The Press.
