Arline Masone, a resident of Montauk for 20 years, died on March 29 at Southampton Hospital. She was 88.
Born January 30, 1920, in Rochester, New York, to Carolina (née Lembo) ?and Nicholas Pepe, she lived in The Bronx for most of her life. A professional jazz dancer at the Apollo Theater on Broadway, she also worked as a paraprofessional in the New York City school system.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick Masone, and a son, Russell Masone, both of Montauk; two nephews, Russell and David Pepe; and three nieces, Liane Grice, Carol Gemon and Ellen Phalon, all of New Jersey.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Russell and Charles Pepe.
Visitation and funeral services will be held today, April 2, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m at Yardley and Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery in Montauk.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Montauk Volunteer Ambulance Squad, 12 Flamingo Avenue, Montauk, NY 11954 would be appreciated by the family.
