Patricia A. Wadzinski of East Hampton died on February 4, She was 74.
She was born on June 9, 1949, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Arthur and Violet (Hahlbeck) Wadzinski.
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a bachelor’s degree, as a registered nurse. In 1974, she traveled with a friend to Long Island for a vacation. She fell in love with the area and the ocean, and decided to make East Hampton her permanent home.
She worked as a private duty nurse and in the hospitality industry until she began her long career in the real estate field. Wadzinski was the vice president, associate broker, and a global real estate advisor for Sotheby’s International Realty in East Hampton. She mentored many new real estate agents during her career.
In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, bicycling, yoga, walking on the beach, and many travel adventures. She worked with her church’s mission group in Guines, Cuba, in person-to-person diplomacy and supporting the clean water project at their sister church. She also traveled to Nairoby, Kenya, to work at the Ngamwaza Children’s Project, a school for HIV orphans and street children.
Her family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to her friends and neighbors who offered their prayers and support, along with visits during her final journey. They would also like to recognize the exceptional care and concern from her team of doctors and staff at the Peconic Bay Medical Center for all their endeavors while she was in their care.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Steven Wadzinski. She is survived by her siblings, James (Mary) Wadzinski, Kathy Druecke, Cindy (Bob) Mack, and Phillip (Beth) Wadzinski; her sister-in-law, Michelle (Steven) Wadzinski; nieces, Carrie (Tom), Nicole (Noah), Reanna (Dennis), Alyson (Zach), Kelsey, and Eva; nephews, John, Jeremy (Micaela), William (Dana), and Alex B.; great-nieces, Arianna, Jennifer, Sophia, Grace, and Kayla; great-nephews, Michael, Alexander, Alex O., Owen, Tristan, Aiden, William, and Luke; her dear friends, Karen and Sean McCaffrey, and their daughters, Kerrie, and Megan.
In lieu of flowers, donations to First Presbyterian Church of East Hampton (fpceh.org) would be appreciated by the family.
