East Hampton Town Police are seeking information as they investigate two residential burglaries that took place in East Hampton on Thursday evening.
Surveillance cameras in one of the homes captured images of the suspect, a black man in his 20s who was wearing a dark-colored face mask, a black hooded jacket and a blue hooded sweatshirt with a light blue logo on the left chest area. He is approximately 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet, 2 inches tall.
Proceeds from the burglaries include a nickel-plated Remington pump-action shotgun and a large silver Bowie knife.
The burglaries took place at about 5 p.m. at two neighboring residences on Sammys Beach Road, one of which is in the process of being demolished or slated to be demolished, according to Captain Chris Anderson of the East Hampton Town Police Department.
There have been some leads, but police were still actively seeking the suspect as of Monday. Anyone with information has been asked to call East Hampton Town Police at 631-537-7575.
