Project Most, a year-round extracurricular enrichment program serving children and families on the South Fork, has announced the launch of a new Early Learning Program beginning in September. The new Early Learning Program has been added in response to a demand in the community for programming for children ages 3 and 4.

The play-based learning program, taught by certified, experienced teachers, will offer daily learning activities including inside and outside play and will have a weekly STEM class.

“We saw that there was a need in the community for a program for early learners. Having a strong foundation as a learner upon entering school is an important part of a child’s growth and offering a program for 3- and 4-year old’s is a natural progression for the growth of Project MOST,” said Project Most Executive Director Rebecca Taylor.

Jacqueline Gravina-Wohlleb, a certified elementary education teacher, will lead the program. She designed and taught the Early Learning Lab at the Neighborhood House, the precursor to the new five-day Early Learning Program.

“Guiding children of this age through the learning process is very exciting! At 3 and 4 years of age, students are so eager to learn and explore, and our teachers have great things planned for them in our new Early Learning Program. Our goal is for our students to build on what they know, to learn together while socializing, and to ultimately be prepared to enter the school system successfully, with strong skills and a love of learning. We have been planning and preparing for this program for a long time, so I’m very happy that we’re starting this September,” said Gravina-Wohlleb.

Daily learning in the program will include reading and writing, mathematics, bilingual (Spanish) component, STEM, guided and independent activities, snack time and more.

The program will run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Learning Center at Most Holy Trinity School, 44 Meadow Way in East Hampton. The program is 37 weeks and starts Monday, September 18, and will run through June 21, 2024, and will close during school holidays and February and April school breaks. Tuition is $155 weekly. To enroll students must be bathroom independent.

Registration is on a first-come-first-service basis. To register, email jacqueline@projectmost.org, call the office 631-604-2777, or stop by the office at 44 Meadow Way, East Hampton.
