Applications Being Accepted for Summer Program That Aims To Fight Hunger and Climate Change

ReWild Long Island is offering internships and community service opportunities in East Hampton for its second summer. The 2024 Summer Program To Fight Hunger and Climate Change includes volunteer work in organic vegetable harvesting, regenerative food production, sustainable landscaping, pollinator garden design and composting. Locations and partner organizations include Share the Harvest Farm, LongHouse Reserve, Surfrider Village Green and Methodist Lane Bioswale, East Hampton Compost and East Hampton High School Pollinator Garden. Choral Society Announces Auditions

The Choral Society of the Hamptons will hold auditions in May for all singing parts — soprano, alto, tenor, bass — for singers interested in joining the group prior to the Choral Society’s next concert on Saturday, June 29, at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church. The Choral Society rehearses at the same church, and the auditions will take place there as well. Rehearsals begin the following Monday, May 13. Woman Seriously Injured in Springs Car Crash

An East Hampton woman was seriously injured in a single-car crash early Thursday morning, East Hampton Town Police said. The crash occurred just after 2 a.m. on Three Mile Harbor-Hog Creek Road. Police say that an SUV driven by Judith Santiago-Martinez, 27, apparently swerved off the roadway and struck a tree. The crash was reported by a nearby resident who heard the crash. Police said that Santiago-Martinez was cut from the car and was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.
