Things that could be simple wins for the town:
Expedite a performance bond to fix Cranberry Hole Bridge. The Long Island Rail Road also has claimed ownership in its own 2014 press release. So, stop any finger pointing.
That is one of the four-sided concerns that now surround District 12. We also have Napeague State Park, which was just on high alert for fire danger. Napeague Harbor is still neglected continuously.
Bay View Avenue remains blocked, and residents of this road are questioning why the town, which has the authority to open this road and even restore the beach, have chosen not to. That’s also because at one point or another all parties who help keep it blocked worked for the town. Some still do today.
Our apologies — some of us aren’t from Central Park West, a fashion designer or have a father who was in the Beatles. Some of us just live here year round, who want our rights restored immediately.
It is almost five full years into the sixth summer of them being violated.

It is Ed Surgan [“Warped View,” Letters, November 20] who seems to have the warped view. He lays the blame for the level of illegal immigration in our country squarely with the Democrats, but there has not been a successfully...
Every year, I say I am going to do this. Finally, I’m going to say it before the madness begins. Christmas does not end on Christmas. It begins on Christmas. The period before is one of preparation, called Advent. It’s...
This week’s Southampton Press comments were spot on, publishing two letters concerning our environment. One of the opinions addressed the sacrifices to our well-being that are made when overuse of water and chemicals to maintain a beautiful lawn overshadows the...
Group for the East End lends its voice to the inhabitants of our natural environment that cannot speak for themselves. Take the American horseshoe crab. These arthropods have survived five mass extinctions on planet Earth in their 450-million-year existence. That’s...
