The East Hampton Ladies Village Improvement Society recently awarded its scholarships to selected graduating seniors. The winners of four-year scholarships were Adriano Rangel-Guzman (Dudley Roberts Memorial Scholarship), Benson Edman (Dudley Roberts Memorial Scholarship), Abraham Stillman (Richard Ryan Memorial Scholarship), Sophie Riva (Jean Schnall Memorial Scholarship), Cristian Sigua Pintado, Shaila Farez, Lindsay Boyle, Ryan Darrell, Susanna DiSunno, Natalie Yellen, Clio McCarty, Ava Walters, Ava Tintle, Olivia Walsh, Jocelyn Garcia, Ben Kastrati, Abigail O'Sullivan, Lila Ruddy, Lila Gabbard, Georgia Kenny and Kerri O'Donnell; and two-year scholarships, Ciara Leon, Joseph Bobek, Priscilla Villarreal and Justin Guachun Sayay. Dog Dock Diving Set for June 7

The ninth annual North Fork Dog Dock Diving Weekend will be held at the Greenport Polo Grounds, a new location for this year, on Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Seasoned dock-diving dogs, as well as first-time diving dogs are invited to participate. There will be competitions, local vendors, food trucks, music, and plenty of dogs. The first 125 attendees each day will receive free swag bags packed with pet goodies. There is a fee to attend; dogs must be registered to participate. College News Tristan Remkus, of Sag Harbor, graduated from Florida Atlantic University in December 2024 with a degree in business. In addition to his academic achievements, Remkus was hired at Serhant Realty last September after successfully completing his internship and earning his real estate license. Jarred Luna-Pillco, of East Hampton, was one of 30 SUNY Oneonta students who received firsthand experience by preparing income tax returns for the community. Through the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, students trained and were available through April 13 to provide basic tax return preparation and filing free of charge. by Staff Writer
