Steve Turbek, the vice president of the Montauk Friends of Erin, has died in Virginia, according to Joe Bloecker, the organization’s president. Mr. Turbek worked as a plumber for Marshall and Sons in Montauk.
The C.S. Bartholomew Funeral Home in Bellmore confirmed that it is handling the funeral arrangements, which had not been finalized at this edition’s deadline. Mr. Bloecker said services were likely to be held on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. A complete obituary will appear in a future issue of The Press.
