Do you ever hear someone say, “If I could just go back in time and change one thing in the past …”? Surely, so many of us wonder: Could one moment’s stoppage or a chance meeting change the sequence of history on such a strategic path for the good of everyone?
Yet do we ever hear anyone say, “I want to change the path we are on now”? Everything in life will have an evolution of action, then reaction. Life becomes our own Pythagorean theorem. If this, then that.
We want to change that path now. Join us on the resurgence of our community and the revitalization of our town.
Never forget what you’ve been given:
• Eight years, no senior center.
• Six years, no tower turned on in Springs.
• Four years, a road blocked.
• Two years sitting on hands.
November 2, a time to make a change.

To John Neely [“Get Facts Right,” Letters, October 23], thank you for your comments. I’ll try to address them briefly. James Comey, John Brennan and James Clapper seriously damaged the United States’ reputation for fairness and justice. They have been...
In response to the cartoon “Paw Prints”: I may not share all your opinions. Sometimes I find your cartoons amusing. But I am really offended by the October 23 “White House Halloween Party (or is it?).” The character in front,...
Andrew Messenger naively and grossly underestimates the environmental degradation caused by an overabundance of lawns [“Leave My Lawn Alone, Please,” Viewpoint, Residence, October 30]. Groundwater pollution is a major environmental problem. A Sagg Pond watershed update with Dr. Molly Graffin...
“Nobody wants you here.” This is what a passerby in an expensive foreign sports car yelled at me while I participated in a demonstration against our current administration’s tactics. For me, that is always a hilarious statement. My roots here...
I want to thank everyone for the wonderful outpouring of support I’ve received since I began writing letters. What started as one message defending the rights of the Shinnecock Nation and Indigenous people has grown into something larger, thanks to...
