Traveling out of Montauk this weekend, I stopped at the eastern overlook. You can see the issues with pines aren’t our only cause for concern. Upon initial diagnosis, one would assume it’s just leaf anthracnose. We have had wet weather the last calendar year. Hopefully, nothing like the oak wilt they are seeing along the Niagara border on both sides of New York and Canada.
Guess we’ll need to wait and see what a call into the Department of Environmental Conservation’s Forestry Division concludes.
