Trenny Lynn Lowey of Farmingdale and formerly of Sag Harbor and Bradley, Illinois, died at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, Illinois, on Monday, November 28. She was 42.

Born March 3, 1969, in Kankakee, she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the State University of New York Purchase College and enjoyed music, especially singing and playing the guitar, dancing, writing, and fashion. She was friendly with anyone and everyone she met.

Ms. Lowey is survived by her parents, David and Linda Welker of Illinois; siblings, Todd Higgins, Shannon Redenius and her husband Kent all of Illinois; niece and nephew, Jordyn Scoggin of Minnesota, Jeff and his wife Lauren Fox of Illinois; great-nephew, Jaxon Fox of Illinois; an uncle, Tom Savoie and his wife Marilyn of Illinois; cousins, Brian Savoie of Arizona and Amy Savoie of Colorado; and special friends, Michael Carni, Daniel Olejnik, and Randy Saber, all of Long Island. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Lester and Marjorie Savoie; and an aunt, Kay Savoie.

A memorial gathering took place on Thursday, December 1, at Schreffler Life Story Funeral Homes Bourbonnais Chapel in Illinois. A Sag Harbor memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue North West, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004, would be appreciated by the family.
