MONTAUK The Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation will hold its annual flag ceremony in honor of veterans on Tuesday, November 11, at the Montauk Playhouse Community Center, 240 Edgemere Street. State Parks To Offer Nature Hikes

The State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation has released its list of night owl hikes and seal observation hikes. For the owl hikes, a state park naturalist will guide visitors in the woods to listen for owls and other night life. The location of each hike may vary. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and comfortable shoes for hiking. Be prepared to hike without lights. The hike averages 2.15 miles (longer or shorter depending on the location) and is for those ages 12 and older. No dogs are allowed. Neo-Political Cowgirls Seeks Volunteers for Its ZIMA Show

The Neo-Political Cowgirls are seeking volunteers to help present their annual outdoor winter event, “ZIMA!” — Polish for “winter” — which brings together costumed actors and dancers along an illuminated path at LongHouse Reserve. Performances will take place on November 28 and 29, and December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20 and 31. Each evening requires at least six volunteers to assist with guiding visitors along the path, supporting performers, welcoming the audience, and helping introduce the interactive riddle element of the show. The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF) is calling on the creativity of local young artists with the launch of its 2025 Holiday Card Contest.
