The Palm chain of restaurants, one of which has operated in East Hampton since 1980, has been put up for sale — lock, stock and steak knife. Several financial publications reported this week that Palm’s parent company, Just One More Restaurant, has hired the investment bank Raymond James & Associates to find a buyer for the entire chain as it seeks to raise some $120 million owed to minority owners of the company. East Hampton Store Sells $1 Million Winning Mega Millions Lottery Ticket

One lucky person won a $1 million second-place prize in the Mega Millions drawing Tuesday night, December 17. The ticket, with the winning numbers 22, 30, 53, 55 and 56, was sold at the Stop & Shop in East Hampton on Newtown Lane. The winner has not yet filed a claim, and so cannot yet be identified, a spokesman for the New York Gaming Commission said Wednesday morning.
