Vera Engstrom
Vera Christina Engstrom of Amagansett, formerly of Montauk, died on September 1 at her home. She was 86.
Born on December 18, 1921, in Watertown, New York, to Ingeborg (née Knudsen) and Waldemar Schlosberg, she was the owner and propietor of Twigs and Sprigs Landscaping and a member of the Montauk Community Church.
Ms. Engstrom is survived by a son, Charles Eric Engstrom of Montauk; four daughters, Cindy Lyn Pease of East Hampton, Carla Curruthers of Southampton, and Lori Belber and Victoria Applegate, both of Canada; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and 11 nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Charles Lincoln Engstrom; a son, Christopher Cieslack; two brothers, John Joseph and Waldemar Schlosberg; and a sister, Selma Gill, all predeceased her.
Services were held on September 7 at Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to East End Hospice, Dominican Sisters Family Health Service, East Hampton Village Ambulance Association, or Montauk Volunteer Ambulance Squad would be appreciated by the family.
