Michael Wright had an article this past week that ended with: “‘We’ve got to start on some level,’ [Jim] Grimes said” [“East Hampton Town Trustees Face Long, Costly Road in Potential Napeague Harbor Remake,” 27east.com, June 28].
In 2020, in regards to the harbor dredging, a response given to me at a Trustees meeting: “The reality is, we are a couple of years away.” Now, three years later, and after a decade of losing beachfront and a harbor that is well known to be heating up. With shoulder shrugging: We’ve got to start.
