Walter Rusak, a 25-year resident of East Hampton, died on October 13 at his home. He was 77.
Born March 2, 1932, in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of Walter and Theresa “Tessy” Rusak. A Korean War veteran, he served in the U.S. Marines from 1949 to 1953.
He earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey and a Master of Business Administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie (neé Perman) Rusak; two sons, Walter Rusak III of Florida and William Rusak of Ohio; a daughter, Holly Ann Hall of Texas; a brother, Alex Rusak of North Carolina; a sister, Helen Rusak of New Jersey; and four grandchildren, William, Alex, Javier and Shaun. He is also survived by two stepdaughters, Allison Dunne of Yorktown Heights and Erin Dunne of Garrison.
Services were held on October 18 at the Yardley & Pino Funeral Home in East Hampton. Cremation followed.
