A friendly reminder that on November 8, 2021, Robert Rosenthal, the New York State Public Service Commission general counsel, admitted what the cost will be. The power purchase agreement will supply us energy “at an average price of 22 cents per kWh.”
It’s almost comical that both the town supervisor and the head town attorney touted early last year that it will only cost us ratepayers $0.002 per kWh. But I can’t do John Jilnicki math that’s backed up by Peter Van Scoyoc: Jilnicki’s uneducated answer last April, Van Scoyoc repeating it that May, Rosenthal finally admitting what was agreed upon at the contract’s inception.
Green means money, and our Town Board and Trustees sold us all out for a pittance.
Watching the watchers, still here.

Close your eyes and picture yourself asking for one more day. This isn’t about death — it’s about fear. Not the kind that comes from a horror movie, but the fear that creeps into everyday life: at the grocery store,...
I must say, my stomach turned as I read the antisemitic diatribe Richard Smith submitted [“A War Crime,” Letters, September 4] about heinous acts apparently committed by the surrounded, out-gunned, out-manned Jewish forces defending themselves after the State of Israel...
As autumn approaches, the days grow cooler and light fades earlier, and Americans think of falling leaves and hearty stews. Here, for the culinary-minded, is a recipe for this fall — or our fall, as it were. POT AU FEW:...
At Amagansett School, there has been some darkness and dark days. Let’s shed some light on developing occurrences. Michael Rodgers filed an Equal Employment Opportunity complaint in 2022. I can reference my correspondences with the District of Columbia, which tracked...
