Whalers Avoid Sweep In Series With Mercy

The Pierson baseball team lost its three-game series with Mercy (7-5) last week, but avoided the sweep by busting out the bats in the third game to improve to 6-6 in League VIII, which was good enough for fourth place among the seven teams.
