Andrew Botsford in Conversation with Charlie Stanton

Description:

Quogue 2025 Summer Series: Andrew Botsford in Conversation with Charlie Stanton
Charlie Stanton spent his childhood summers in Quogue. He graduated from Wake Forest University with honors in Economics. His debut novel, How The Jester Became King, details Portnoy’s 20-year controversial Barstool Sports adventure and unpredictable rise to fame and fortune from handling newspapers alone in a dirty subway station, to selling his digital media company for half a billion dollars, and then buying it back for $1. Critics have praised Stanton’s “breezy and engaging style that reads well and quickly.”
Andrew Botsford is a writer, actor, director, and former president of the Hampton Theater Company. For 20 years he served as associate editor of the Southampton Press and editor of its Arts & Living section. He hosts The Westhampton Beach Art Center’s Tuesday Night at the Movies and writes extensively about film, theatre, and the arts. His online column At Quaquanantuck continues to inform and inspire the Quogue community.
Author conversations begin at 5:00 PM followed by a Q&A and a wine reception, book sales and signing.
