Sag Harbor, NY – August 18, 2024 – Esteemed artists Jim Gingerich, Bob Sullivan, Christian Haberstat, and John Haubrich will be featured in a unique outdoor exhibition, "Gallery in the Garden," held at Estia's Little Kitchen in Sag Harbor, NY. This event, scheduled for Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM, promises an enriching blend of art, tacos, and mezcal, set against the charming backdrop of the garden at Estia's Little Kitchen.
Jim Gingerich brings a dynamic and expressive style to his work, capturing the vibrancy of life through his paintings. With a deep connection to his subjects, Jim's art resonates with a powerful emotional intensity. His extensive career has been marked by numerous exhibitions and critical acclaim, establishing him as a significant figure in contemporary art. Jim’s art is exhibited in many notable museums across the country Jim is known for his figurative and his plein air landscapes, commemorating the many landmarks in the East end. Bob Sullivan, born in Princeton, NJ, in 1952, holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Ithaca College and majored in Visual Communication at Pratt Institute’s graduate design program. Bob’s early career saw him working as an Art Director for renowned companies including Children’s Television Workshop and Foote Cone and Belding. Since moving to East Hampton in 1999, Bob has focused on capturing the land and seascapes of Long Island’s East End. His painting style, known as natural realism, has been honed through extensive plein air workshops and travels across the American West, Italy, Ireland, Maine, Hawaii, and Argentina. Bob continues to sell his work directly to collectors.
Christian Habberstad is a talented cinematographer based in New York and Oahu, specializing in transforming abstract concepts into vivid, tangible visuals. With over five years of experience as a water camera operator, Christian has honed his skills in capturing the intensity of extreme sports, the energy of live events, and the nuance of commercial, corporate, and documentary filmmaking. His impressive portfolio includes collaborations with major brands like DJI Global, Nautica, Volk Brand, Celsius, and more.
John Haubrich, born in 1956, USA, discovered his passion for art at the tender age of three when he first picked up a pencil. Growing up in rural Minnesota, John developed a profound connection with the expansive skies and landscapes of his home region. His early experiences with the natural world and the abandoned farms filled with rusted cars and equipment deeply influenced his artistic vision. John's work in painting and digital imagery reflects his emotional and physical responses to the world around him. Through abstraction, he creates landscapes that articulate his internal and external experiences, bringing a unique perspective to the exhibition.
