About blind drawing, Ms. Muri-Sloane said, “Like running fingers up and down the keyboard to practice scales and to familiarize hands to the piano, blind drawing acts to train the eye and hand to work together to practice drawing. It allows the artist to discover intricacies of the subject, the details so easily missed by that part of the brain that speaks, “I know what that is.” Blind drawing strengthens the eye and hand to act together. Michelle believes more time spent with eyes on the subject instead of on the medium, the more personal and intimate a response she can bring to her work.”
