Artists’ Table Brunch

Description:

Artists’ Table is The Watermill Center’s year-round series of gatherings, inviting the public to an intimate presentation by Artist-in-Residence Ryan McNamara, followed by a farm-to-table meal by Chef Jason Weiner on The Center’s scenic campus.

All attendees must be fully vaccinated, and present proof of vaccination during check-in. For a full list of COVID Safety Regulations, please click here.

Ryan McNamara is a Brooklyn-based artist who works in performance, video, photography, drawing, and sculpture. His work has been featured at MoMA PS1, The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Guggenheim New York, Kunstmuseum Bonn, The Kitchen, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, White Columns, Museum of Modern Art, ICA Boston, Perez Art Museum Miami, ICI London, The Garage Moscow, The Power Plant Toronto, the Athens Biennale and The High Line New York. His work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Ryan McNamara is the featured artist of The Watermill Center's partnership with Works & Process LaunchPAD “Process as Destination” residency.

Described by The New York Times as “forward-thinking” and “an exceptional opportunity to understand something of the creative process,” since 1984 Works & Process has welcomed New Yorkers to see, hear, and meet the most acclaimed performers and creators of the performing arts. Led by Producer Caroline Cronson and Executive Director Duke Dang, Works & Process nurtures and champions new works, shapes representation, amplifies underrepresented voices and performing arts cultures, and offers audiences unprecedented access to generations of leading creators and performers. Artist-driven programs blending performance highlights with insightful discussions are, when permitted, followed by receptions in the rotunda, producing an opportunity for collective learning and community building, while also helping to cultivate a more inclusive, fair, and representative world.

Jason Weiner is the executive chef and proprietor of Almond, an American bistro with locations in Manhattan and Bridgehampton, New York. Weiner serves hearty, seasonal dishes that reflect farm-to-table roots and highlight local ingredients. Weiner’s success as a chef and restaurateur can be largely attributed to his extensive experience at many of the country’s top kitchens.
