Learn the art of block printing to make your own unique set of greeting cards, gift tags, or even a small piece of art to frame. We’ll look at some examples of block printed designs. They generally have a bold and graphic quality. We’ll spend some time sketching our ideas. Kym will show you how to transfer your design to a rubber printing block using contact paper. You will use linoleum cutting tools to carve your design out of the block. You will mix your own custom ink colors. You will learn to apply ink to the printing block and use a barren tool to an edition of prints.
