On Tuesday, July 30, 6 pm. at Christ Episcopal Church in Sag Harbor, novelist Bret Anthony Johnston will read from and speak about his compelling new novel, We Burn Daylight. The book is a Romeo & Juliet story set within the dramatic events unfolding at a religious cult in Texas. Bret will be in conversation with literary agent Julie Barer
Bret Johnston is Director of the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas at Austin. He oversees the Writer in Residence program at The Steinbeck House, Sag Harbor
Previous works include: Remember Me Like This, and Corpus Christi: Stories.
He is recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellowship
