"Travels with Charley: In Search of America" starts in Sag Harbor and crisscrosses 1960s America. John Steinbeck, along with Elaine's standard poodle, Charley, seek out the soul of cold-war America, at a time when Steinbeck was re-examining both his life and that of our country's.
This year's marathon starts at Canio's Books Friday, 5-7:30pm. On Saturday, we open at the Library,10-12, then we travel to the Whaling Museum, 12:15-2:15 and back to Canio's, 2pm to finish in the late afternoon. All are welcome to come to part or all the reading and join the after party on Saturday, around 5:30pm with music, food, fun, and a silent auction for our educational non-profit, Canio's Cultural Cafe.
