Lora Lomuscio, a Shelter Island based ceramic artist, has been involved in art and education on the East End of Long Island for 15 years. Inspired by nature, her functional ceramic pieces often feature textured surfaces and layered applications of glaze. In this family-friendly workshop, participants of all ages will create ornamental discs using air-dry clay.
The group will start the workshop with a walk together along the shore to collect both inspiration and natural objects such as seaweeds, shells, and dried grasses that they will use to create impressions on and to decorate their clay pieces.
Workshop is limited to 15 participants.
