Death Over Dinner: A Workshop on Health Care Directives through Jewish Values

Description:

Planning ahead for illness and death is an act of self-care that ensures that our wishes are respected no matter what happens. But who wants to think about it? Doing it together with a community helps a lot. Doing it over pizza and prosecco helps too. Doing it with the guidance of the extraordinarily sensitive and wise resources of Jewish tradition helps the most.

Take good care of yourself by joining us for this workshop on what Jewish texts have to say about the boundaries of life and death, how to choose a health care proxy and have conversations with loved ones, and actual health care directive forms to begin filling out on the spot. This workshop is for people of all ages: having a health care directive and proxy is essential for everyone over the age of 18.
