The Hamptons United Methodist will dedicate its new “Blessing Box” at 11 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021. Jagger Maddock constructed this “micro food pantry” as an Eagle Scout project, with the help of the leaders and other scouts of Troop 58.
The Blessing Box will provide free nonperishable food and personal hygiene items in a “no-contact” way that’s available 24 hours a day. People can take what they need or leave items for others. The project also includes a prayer box where prayer requests can be left. As part of Sunday’s festivities, the scouts are sponsoring a drive-thru food drive.
