Saturday, February 26, 10 A.M. Northwest Woods Loop (4 miles)
We will meet at Chatfield's Hole on Two Holes of Water Road, Northwest Woods, East Hampton. Our hike will begin on the trail skirting this intriguing pond and head north on the Paumanok Path, which passes an old "woodcutter's well" and through an outstanding white pine forest and very Zen place: Wilson's Grove. After crossing Old Northwest Road, we will return to our cars via a spur trail and Foster's Path which is the site of Jason's Rock, a bit of Native American history. Moderate pace.
