Eric Comstock & Barbara Fasano: The Songbook from Sinatra to Sondheim to Sting

Description:

Hailed as “exhilarating” by Stephen Holden in The New York Times, ERIC COMSTOCK (piano/voice) and BARBARA FASANO (voice) bring their singular, soulful showmanship to Fisher House in Montauk for this spring soiree. Drawing from eclectic influences — Sinatra and Cole Porter classics, Broadway and Hollywood gems, singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon — the married musical couple’s electrifying combination of warmth, wit, swing, and sensuality have made them the nightclub world’s most celebrated team. Their performances have taken them from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to Saratoga Jazz Festival, Music Mountain Twilight Jazz, London’s Pizza Express, Italy’s Monteverdi Tuscany, and nightclubs and music festivals across the country.

A special emphasis in this evening’s repertoire, in keeping with the heritage of Fisher House, will be given to the songs of the 1930s, an era that helped make the American Songbook truly great.

On Saturday April 27, doors of the Carl Fisher House will open at 5 pm with the performance starting at 6pm. Purchase tickets on the MHS website.

This event has been generously underwritten by Bruce and Lana Curtis.
Produced in association with HAMPTONS SONGBOOK: Josh Gladstone & Kate Mueth, Producers.
