Stop by for a talk with bestselling author Tom Clavin on Wednesday, September 28th at Ashawagh Hall!
A former editor and reporter for the New York Times, Tom is an award winning author of 18 nonfiction books on American and military history, sports and entertainment - including five NYT best sellers: “Dodge City”, “The Heart of Everything That Is”, “Halsey’s Typhoon”, “The Last Stand of Fox Company”, and, most recently, “Blood and Treasure”.
Tom will discuss his novel “Lighting Down” - the incredible TRUE STORY of a group of captured WW2 pilots who band together to survive, defy their Nazi captors, save others, and ultimately escape from the Buchenwald death camp.
Along the way, they endure against impossible odds in the most horrific surroundings - until the day Hitler himself issues orders to execute them, and only a most desperate plan might save them…
It’s a cannot-be-missed installment of our “Meet the Author” series, presented by the Springs Historical Society and Community Library!
New library members will receive a free gift copy of "Book Love" by Long Island author Bill Henderson.
