Hand Made: Guitars According to G.E. Smith and the American Artists’ Hand Archive explores the idea of skill as something that is acquired by utilizing both the intellectual and physical sides of oneself. A skill is developed and mastered through both study and practice. On Saturday October 22nd join us at The Church to hear from the expert who selected the 16 rare and classic guitars currently on display– renowned guitarist G.E. Smith. G.E. will speak on the beautifully crafted guitars– many of which come from his private collection. The evening will allow guests to see the guitars through the eyes of G.E., providing insight into what he values in the instruments. The collection includes both acoustic and electric guitars that date from 1810-1992.
