Good Trouble Lives On!

Description:

GOOD TROUBLE LIVES ON!
JULY 17, 2025, THURSDAY. 4:40-5:30 PM
EAST HAMPTON TOWN HALL
159 PANTIGO ROAD

Join us! We the People will take nonviolent action on July 17, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing. We are defending our democracy and carrying forward Lewis's legacy of Good Trouble - peaceful protest to redeem the soul of America.
We stand for democracy. We will have no king or dictator! We stand for voter's rights and free and fair elections. We stand for free speech and free press. We stand for civil rights and basic human dignity. We stand for the rule of law, for all people. No one is above the law.
If you can't find a parking place to stand and Wave with us, please consider making a big loop of right turns to come back and Honk with us again. And again! Depending on the weather, you might even be more comfortable in your car.
Please bring signs about what is important to you right now. A car full of Honkers can hold smaller signs in the car windows. We will have a few signs to share with Wavers, and you can bring extras if you have them. Parking is limited and traffic is congested in the summer! Please carpool, or better yet, share an Uber, with your drivers letting you off IN the Town Hall parking lot.
Please note: A core principle behind our Good Trouble Lives On actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
