Historic Spinning: For early Americans, the spinning wheel was a necessary tool that provided a
way to produce yarn to make clothing. Methods of carding, drafting and spinning
unprocessed fleece into yarn will be demonstrated with hands-on activities.
Handkerchief Dolls: This toy was made from a handkerchief when supplies were scarce. This toy was often taken to church because they were noiseless. Create a "prayer doll" with the help of our demonstrator.
