Tour of Main Street, Amagansett.
The tour explores the community’s Montaukett history and early Dutch settlement through its “boarding house” era during the late 19th century to recent developments in the hamlet today. Along the way, visitors will learn about the preservation efforts that led to saving Miss Amelia’s Cottage, Amagansett’s oldest extant building, and see the original LIRR freight depot, which was built in 1895. Meet at 129 Main Street, Amagansett.
Tours are $12 per person for non-members and free for members. The tours in collaboration with the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society (EHTPS) are also free for their EHTPS members. (ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP WILL BE CHECKED)
